This statement covers the Elmetry website at elmetry.com and the client console at console.elmetry.com. It does not cover third-party pages we send you to, such as our payment processor's checkout or Google's sign-in page, which have their own accessibility statements.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at level AA. We believe the website and console partially meet that standard: most pages work well, but there are the known gaps listed in section 3.
What we have done so far includes: pages that set their language and use headings, landmarks and labelled form fields; controls that can be reached and used with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator; a "skip to content" link in the console; text that can be resized and pages that reflow on small screens; tables that turn into lists on narrow screens; and animations that switch off when your device asks for reduced motion.
- The website does not yet have a "skip to content" link, so keyboard users have to move through the header navigation on each page.
- The website and the console use a dark colour scheme only. They do not switch to a light scheme when your device asks for one, which some people with low vision or reading difficulties find harder to read.
- The preview image shown when a page is shared on social media or in chat apps is a picture of text. The same information is on the page itself.
- We have not yet had the website or console audited by an independent accessibility specialist. This statement is based on our own testing, so there may be problems we have not found.
We are working through these. When we fix one, we update this statement.
If you find something on the website or in the console that you cannot use, or you need information in a different format, such as a legal document as plain text or in larger print, write to [email protected] with "Accessibility" in the subject line. Tell us the page address and what you were trying to do. We will acknowledge your message within 2 business days and reply with a solution or a plan within 10 business days.
If you are not happy with how we respond, you can use our complaints procedure.
